Walk 1, paragraph 4. The very "English" house at Analypsi has been rebuilt in a very modern style.
Walk 4 Alternative ending into Magoulades. The broad Magoulades-Kavadades road is now asphalt.
Walk 5, para 4. The asphalt surface of the road has been extended as far as the monastery driveway entrance.
Walk 6, Alternative 1. The road from Arillas to Afionas is now mostly asphalt with a few steep concrete sections.
Alternative 2 is now too overgrown to be comfortable -- the following replaces it.
Use Alternative 1 route initially, to join the ridge road. Turn right and go past the Afionas cemetery (right). Shortly after, turn right into an asphalt road. Follow this past cypress trees and a small shrine (right) to a junction where you should stay left with the asphalt. Not long after, fork left (semi-surfaced), where right (concrete) forks again and goes to a large house. Your route takes you into the olive groves and is mostly on dirt track. Pass a small house and a shrine (left) and then a small hut (left) as the track emerges more into the open and is almost opposite a large house on the next ridge. Go down and left on a rough side track, that zigzags down through a steep, bare-earth field with small olive trees. At the end of the track you need to make your way on down to the left-hand corner of the bottom of the field, but it may be easier to do so through the adjacent, well-established olive grove to the left, via the final bend of the descending track. From the lowest point of the boundary between the field and the olive grove, go down and across the main stream-bed via an obvious ford. On the far side, go up to join a track, and then go right at the following junction to the beach road of Agios Georgios. Turn left on the road, for the south and centre of the resort.
Walk 6a, para 5. The road off the ridge road, going down to Arillas, is now surfaced. It leaves the ridge road just before the Xenykhtia ("Night Owl") cafe-taverna.
Walk 7, para 2. The (formerly unsurfaced) road from Arillas to Afionas is now mostly asphalt with a few steep concrete sections.
A second taverna, the Porto Timoni, has been opened just beyond the Dionysos.
Walk 8, para 2. The Katerina Apartments are now signed as the Nikos Studios.
para 3. The "initially not very obvious dirt track" is now an obvious concrete road,
Armenades main church now has a makeshift, seasonal café in the yard – the village also has a shop-café on the main street, but this is not open all day. The remnants of cobbled path at the end of the church street have now gone. The "better-used (and -constructed) dirt track" at the end of the earth track is now an asphalt road.
final para. The "broad, level dirt track (where left/onward goes to Agios Georgios)" is now an asphalt road.
Walk 8a, para 2. The "initially asphalt but mainly dirt road" is now all asphalt. The route can be much simplified by going left into a dirt track at the start of the climbing S. This track runs into the valley and becomes the valley bottom dirt track in para 4.
para 4. The "large new house" is the Villa Biglioli.
paras5-6. The not always open cafe is the Exohi. There is a new, much larger café-zakharoplastio just before the large supermarket.
Walk 10, paras3-4. The "first power pole on the left" is a telegraph pole with power cables rather than phone ones -- it is immediately before a large, pink accommodation. However, since the stream can now only be crossed in summer or very dry weather, it is simpler to stay on the surfaced road.
para 5. The road to Aspiotades is unsigned.
para 6. The rubbish-dump has been cleared, and the "smaller, overgrown track" has disappeared from sight.
para 9. "After about 5 minutes, the path swings right onto a shelf overgrown with reedy grass" -- just before this shelf, the path almost disappears under creeping ivy and you must descend a bank diagonally on an overgrown ledge, before the path reappears and leads onto the broader shelf (which is now less overgrown),
final para. Between the two sharp right turns, there is a left turn. the second right turn is just over the brow of the hill, so not obvious until you reach it.
Walk 11, para 6. The kalderimi has not collapsed. The alternative "dirt road uphill (left)" is now asphalted.
para 7. The "clear path" to Krini is now an all-too-clear, broad dirt road.
Prinylas' streets have been repaved, and there are more new houses.
Angelokastro. In autumn 2008 the castle was closed for ongoing repair work, although numerous tourists were squeezing around the side of padlocked gates to get inside. If you do go in, you do so at your own risk. The Ippos café - accessed by a dirt track, and above the road - is closed (though the café/taverna at the Angelokastro car-park is still open).
Angelokastro-Krini-Makrades-Vistonas-Prinylas-Agios Georgios, para 6. The "dirt road" coming in from the left is now asphalted.
Walk 11a, para 8. The "well-made path" out of Krini is now a broad concrete/dirt road.
